Smiling at vulnerability : PHP security concerns

Dear friends

We breathe in the fresh autumn air and walk steadily on this beautiful earth. With peace and joy in our hearts, we send the energy of compassion to all the places of suffering –- including our own hearts.

As you may know, there have been worldwide cyber security concerns for websites that use PHP.  Waves and Water Sangha website is one of them. Our service provider assures us that they have a team working on security upgrades but cannot give a timeline for completion.

Waves and Water Caretaking Council has looked at this situation with Sangha Eyes and we decided on an option that balances access to information with addressing the security concerns of our sangha members.

We will continue to keep the website up while security measures are being implemented.  Taking it down will cause significant disruption.

The only sensitive data we have on the website are the email addresses of the subscribers.  There are no names or any other information connected to these addresses.  Nevertheless, if you are concerned, we urge you to consider temporarily unsubscribing from the blog post by clicking the “unsubscribe” link below.  Your email will be deleted from our database, and you will no longer receive blog posts.  You can, however, access the blog post by visiting our website and clicking “OUR BLOG”.  You can also use this link for direct access.

We will put a notice on the homepage when security measures are in place.  So, please check from time to time and re-subscribe when you feel comfortable to do so.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at : wwsangha[at]gmail.com.

May your hearts be at peace.
